Gübelin Winter Campaign: Timeless Elegance in St. Moritz

A beautifully crafted seasonal campaign film for Gübelin's winter collection, produced and directed by Tizian Gruner of GRUNERFILMS. Captured in the iconic alpine setting of St. Moritz, Switzerland, the film evokes a sense of warmth, elegance, and timeless craftsmanship against the breathtaking atmosphere of a Swiss winter. This production serves as a visual bridge between the ancient, geological "souls" of Gübelin’s gemstones and the majestic, frozen landscapes of the Engadin valley.

The Creative Vision: The Fire in the Ice: The creative direction for this winter campaign was centered on the concept of "The Fire in the Ice." We aimed to juxtapose the sub-zero temperatures and stark, white textures of the Swiss Alps with the vibrant, warm glows of gold and precious stones. By utilizing the unique, high-altitude light of St. Moritz, we created a cinematic narrative that feels both intimate and grand. The film focuses on the emotional connection of the wearer, positioning Gübelin’s winter collection as an essential element of high-society alpine living and a celebration of the House’s 160-year heritage.

Technical Execution in Extreme Conditions: Filming high-end jewellery in a winter environment like St. Moritz presents unique technical challenges, particularly regarding light reflection and equipment mobility. To achieve the signature GRUNERFILMS aesthetic, we utilized specialized macro-lenses and portable lighting arrays to ensure the gemstones maintained their brilliance even in the soft, diffused light of a snowy day. Every frame was meticulously choreographed to capture the fluid movement of the pieces against the crisp, alpine air. From the sophisticated color grading that emphasizes deep blues and rich golds to the immersive sound design, this campaign is a testament to our ability to deliver world-class luxury content in any environment.
